Frequently Asked Questions about MultiRight

Q and A by our Consulting Medical Advisory Board

What is MultiRight?

MultiRight is a proprietary formula that delivers everything you need in a multivitamin and mineral complex without the high acid levels that can contribute to bladder or stomach irritation in sensitive people.

Why is a low-acid formula helpful?
If you have a sensitive bladder and/or stomach, you know just how difficult it is to tolerate coffee, orange juice and, yes, even a simple multivitamin. Patients with interstitial cystitis, prostatitis or stomach ulcers, for example, find it very difficult to tolerate conventional vitamin supplements often due to their high acid levels.*

Why are multivitamins often too acidic?
Most of the brand name vitamins you'll find on supermarket shelves source their ingredients based on cost and availability. The cheapest form of Vitamin C, for example, is ascorbic acid derived from citrus fruits grown in many parts of the world.

How is MultiRight lower in acid?
The Farr Labs Medical Advisory Board selected ingredients based upon their pH levels rather than cost. The end result is the first complete multivitamin & multimineral daily complex that contains less acid thus reducing the chance of exacerbating bladder and/or stomach irritation. The most acidic ingredient, Vitamin C, is derived from calcium ascorbate rather than ascorbic acid. In addition, we've used other natural acid neutralizing ingredients, such as calcium glycerophosphate and sodium bicarbonate, to further reduce acid levels.

Does this product remove all of the acid?
It is impossible to make an acid free vitamin, just as it is impossible to make an acid free juice or fruit. Acids are natural and normal in food. It is the acid level, or pH, which determines just how strong and potentially irritating the acid is. The lower the pH, the more acidic it is. What MultiRight™ does is reduce the acid level to make it less irritating than other popular brands.

What is the suggested use? How often do I take it?
As a dietary supplement, take one tablet daily, preferably with a meal or as directed by your physician. If necessary, the Multiright™ tablet may be cut into smaller portions for those who have difficulty swallowing larger tablets. Not formulated for use in children. Do not use if seal is broken or missing. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place protected from light. If a medical condition exists or if you are pregnant or nursing, consult your health care professional.

Allergen warnings & other safety concerns.
Allergies are a serious health risk. This product is manufactured in a facility that uses ingredients derived from milk, egg, fish, shellfish, wheat, soy, peanuts and tree nuts. Multiright™ does not contain dairy, gluten, yeast, wheat, milk or milk derivatives, lactose, soy, egg, corn, sugar, preservatives, articial color or flavor. Please be cautious and consult your healthcare provider if you are unsure if this product would be safe for you to take. If you are pregnant, nursing or taking any medication, consult your healthcare provider before use. Discontinue use and consult your healthcare provider if any adverse reactions occur.

Is this product safe for someone with a sensitive bladder?
Bladder sensitivity to acid is quite common, especially with the 3 to 8 million women and 1 to 4 million men struggling with interstitial cystitis / bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS). Due to irritation and/or ulceration of the bladder wall, IC patients often experience pain and discomfort after eating foods high in acid, such as citrus fruits, coffees, sodas and the various fruit juices. Multivitamins and Vitamin C are well known IC are triggers due to their high acid levels. MultiRight™ reduces the overall acid level of this vitamin thus making it a viable vitamin option. The challenge, of course, is that everyone has different dietary tolerances. It will require trial and error to determine if this will work for your sensitive bladder.
